Ivan Max Lloyd, age 88, of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Ivan was born in Kings, Illinois on January 19, 1935 to Augusta and Ada Lloyd. He attended High School in Oregon, Illinois. In 1954 he married Margaret Messer whom he later divorced and went on to marry Jean Baldwin. After Jean's passing Ivan reunited with Margaret. Ivan was a lifetime member of the local 150 Operating Engineers, retiring after 39 years at Rockford Blacktop. He was a member of the Belvidere Moose Club. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years at the North Park Fire Department in the 60's. Ivan loved warm weather, spending winters in Arizona for 13 years, eventually moving to Tarpon Springs, Florida. Ivan enjoyed auto racing, fishing and gardening.
Ivan is survived by his children, Susan (the late Tom Goedert) Woodard, Steven (Ruth)(the late Linda) Lloyd, Katherine (the late Jeffery) Thompson, Randall (Nancy) Lloyd, and Michael (Tracey) Lloyd; step children, Lannette (John) Poulus; fiance, CJ McDermott; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; siblings, Ed (Joyce) Lloyd and Jeanette (Jim) Pelc. He was preceded in death by his parents Augusta and Ada Lloyd; first wife, Margaret Lloyd; second wife, Jean Lloyd; step sons, Wayne Anderson and Larry Paris; one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9am until the time of the funeral service at 10am at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115). Entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Love.
