A service to celebrate Jack’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 15, 2012

at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday November 14, 2012

at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jack was born on August 21, 1930 in Shreveport, LA the son of Clarence V. and Eddie DeVore Crawford.

He married Dorothy Virginia Newman on May 21, 1952 and

she preceded him in death in 2002. Jack was affiliated with Faith Center Church,

he was a very faithful man, and he ministered to truck drivers through Ministry of the Highway.

Jack was a self employed carpenter, farmer and minister.

Jack was a Golden Glove Champion Boxer in the State of Arkansas;

he was an avid reader and fisherman. He loved traveling,

seeing his family and always had a wonderful personality.

Jack loved his God, his family and friends.

Jack touched many lives with his generosity and with a kind and loving heart.

Jack is survived by his sons: Dennis (Debbie) Crawford, Austin (Julia) Crawford and

Mike (Terry) Crawford; two sisters: Norma Dean Biggers and Doris Jean Steward;

8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
