Jack W. Wollitz, 70, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday evening, April 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 4, 1952 in Rockford, IL, the son of Courtney and Ella Wollitz. Jack was a machinist for Janar Tool for many years. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and roller-skating. In fact, he met the love of his life, Jean, at a roller rink. He was known for going to the thrift stores and lovingly collecting knick-knacks and figurines for his daughter Kelly. Jack loved playing pool and going to the pool hall frequently with his 4 sons.
Jack is loved and missed by his children, Kelly (Dean) Webster, Chad (Dana) Wollitz, Keith “Max” Wollitz, Kyle Wollitz and Kevin Wollitz; grandchildren, Hailee Webster, Kayla Wollitz, Morgan Wollitz, Bradley Webster and Autumn Wollitz; great-grandchild, Paisley and one on the way; step-grandsons, Donovan and Jacob; mother of his children, Jean Elwell; nieces Sonja and Sandy; nephews Jason and Jimmy; and sister-in-law, Sindy Goodman. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim Goodman and nephew Ricky.
