Jacqueline M. Diverdi, 83, of Surprise, AZ, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 2, 2019. She was born August 26, 1936, the daughter of Dominick and Elmina (Cravens) Grotto. Jacqueline was married to James Diverdi. She was employed at Amerock in shipping and receiving for many years, as well as at Byron Nuclear Plant as a janitor. She was a longtime member of the Eagles Club and loved going to the club to dance. Jacqueline enjoyed crocheting, and going to the casino to gamble. She liked going to Sunrise Restaurant with her senior group. Jacqueline had a giving heart and loved to help children in need any way she could; especially to Walter Lawson’s Children’s Home ad children of third world countries.
Jacqueline is loved and missed by her daughters, Rose (Dave) Way, Betty (Bill) Weeks of Rockford, and Susan (Lonnie) Jennings of Buckeye, AZ; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, and brother, Dominick Grotto.
Private services will be held. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
