

James “Jim” Lowell Blake, 51, of South Beloit, IL. passed away suddenly on January 4, 2022. He was born on March 10, 1970 in Belvidere, IL to Lowell and Janice Blake. Jim graduated from Belvidere High school and spent time on the football team, the Belvidere BUCS. He went on to acquire his CDL and spent his time serving the community as a truck driver. He worked for numerous trucking companies over the years, including Patterson Lumber, American Freight, and FedEx. He was a dedicated truck driver and took pride in his job. Jim had a strong work ethic, and put tremendous love into everything he did. He was a talented builder and mechanically inclined. He worked on his home, building on a deck, a shed, and even a swing set for his children. Above all, Jim was a family man. He would literally weather a hurricane for those he loved. He married the love of his life, Angie, on June 10, 2000. They shared 22 years in loving marriage together, and many trips out on the Harley. He enjoyed his motorcycle, spending time fishing, and going out on his boat. He will be deeply missed by many.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Angie Blake, children; Amber (Josh) Boxrud, Jamie Blake, and Arika Blake, his parents; Lowell and Janice, his grandchildren; Stella Boxrud, and soon to be born: Renley Boxrud, brother; Chris (Amy) Blake, mother in law; Viv Hendricks, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom he loved dearly. He is welcomed into heaven by his infant brother; Jay Perry Blake, as well as his father in law; Bob Hendricks.
