

James “Jimmy” Russell Love, 25, of Roscoe, passed away on Aug. 27, 2012, surrounded by his family. Born on April 27, 1987 in Nuremberg, Germany, he was the son of Gerald “Rusty” R. and Ann M. (Hood) Love.
A 2005 graduate of Hononegah High School in Rockton, Jimmy was a member of Central Christian Church in Beloit.
Jimmy loved spending his time fishing, boating, and helping others by trouble-shooting cell phone and computer problems. He especially loved hanging out and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Kittra and Jacey; parents, Gerald “Rusty” R. and Ann M. (Hood) Love, of Roscoe; sisters, Christina (Stacey) Thomas and Jonna (Chuck) Quast both of Roscoe; grandparents, Russell (Linda) Love and Elaine Love; aunts, Laurie (Jim) Kosharek, Carleen (Dave) Haseman, Becky (Ross) Hood, and Sheila Hood; uncles, Robert (Laurie) Hood and John (April) Hood; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Ivan Anderson, Albert Hood, Sr.; uncle, Albert Hood, Jr.; aunt, Gloria Love; nephew, Evan Thomas; and a cousin, Jacqueline Duke.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Pastor Joel Otto will be officiating. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 and 9 a.m. to time of service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
