

Jim graduated from East Alton-Wood River High School and then attended Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville on a basketball scholarship where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
He was an employee of Lonnie’s Carpet Max where he worked for 20 years.
Jim’s favorite pass time was basketball, which he loved playing with his son, John, family and friends. He also made time for his daughter, RoseAnn, for weekly movie and lunch dates.
He coached basketball at St. Bridget’s School in 2007, with the season ending in a first place win, 12 – 1and he coached baseball for the Greater Rockford Baseball League.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, RoseAnn and John Logan; the mother of his children, Prudence Rodenbeck-Logan; his father, John A. Logan; his wonderful siblings, Ann (Norm) Nielsen, Dave (Theresa), Scott (Bobbi), and Mike Logan; his in-laws, Samuel and RoseAnn Rodenbeck, Sr.; grandmother-in-law, Prudence Calgaro; nine cherished nieces and nephews, relatives and special friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret L. Logan.
Memorial Mass, 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, Father John Evans, officiating. Visitation, Thursday, 6 – 8 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to further the education of James’ children.
