

JAMES T. PAGE, 86 ROCKFORD - James T. Page, 86, of Rockford was reunited with his lifelong love, Marjorie on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. Born Oct. 17, 1924 in Fairmont, N.C.; the son of Giles Shepherd and Margaret (Oliver) Page. James served in the U.S. Army from May of 1943 to July 1963, retiring as Sgt. First Class. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He received many medals and citations over his military career. Member of Maywood Evangelical Free Church, enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with his family. He worked for 27 years at Ipsen Industries, and at Wal-Mart for 15 years before finally retiring to take care of Marjorie. James married Marjorie L. Lundberg on Sept. 27, 1952; she died Sept. 2, 2009. Survivors include children, Nancy (Herb) Carlson of Rockford, Bonnie (Russell) Peterson of Pecatonica, James S. (Jill) Page of Cherry Valley, Timothy (Sherry) Page of Pecatonica, Gary (Shawna) Page of Carney, Mich., and Sharon (Andrew) Graham of Blairstown, N.J.; grandchildren, Shane and Joel Peterson, Tara and Eric Page, James, Claire and Esther Graham and Jonathan Page; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased also by parents, and all siblings. Special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice, especially Sue, Carol, Michelle and Christine. Also thank-you to Paula Barto. Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Maywood Evangelical Free Church, 3621 Samuelson Road, Rockford. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
