

James Ralph Walters, 80, of Rockford, passed away, Saturday June 4, 2016, with his family by his side. Born May 2, 1936 in Beloit, WI. Son of James N. and Dolores C. (Wedige) Walters. Veteran of the United States Army. Married Sandra Ancona-Timmons on June 10, 1973, in Brooke Road United Methodist Church in Rockford, IL. Married 42 years. June 10th would have been their 43rd Anniversary.
Employed by Sundstrand for 36 years retiring on June 28, 1996. Jim was a diehard Green Bay Packer and New York Yankee fan. He enjoyed going on road trips to visit friends, and his cousins in Wisconsin, shopping and spending Sundays with family. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Lietz; son, Steve Walters; step-son, Brian Timmons; step-daughters, Jackie Timmons, Deanna (Lawrence) Swenson, Paula (Dan) Warren; grandchildren Tasha Walters, David, Nathan, Noah Lietz; step-grandchildren, Daniel Swenson, Shane Timmons, Stephanie (Mark) Seibold, Danielle, Lindsay, Ty Warren; 2 great grandsons, 1 step-great granddaughter.
Predeceased by Parents; step-sons, Keith Timmons and Paul Timmons. A special Thank You to Jamil Hussain M.D. and to his loving care giver, Teri and to all the staff on the 3rd floor OSF Hospital and OSF Hospice Care Staff.
