Jessie Junior Beaman, 88, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, May 29, 2026. Jessie was born on January 22, 1938, in Corning, Arkansas, to Jess and Oma Beaman. Jessie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Joyce, on January 21, 1957, in Mississippi. Upon an honorable discharge with the U.S. Army, Jessie became a forklift driver with Atwood. One day, he and his brother took a road trip to buy their first Well Driller – neither knowing much about it but each becoming successful in their own journeys. Jessie began JRB Well Drilling and came across countless people who all became friends. Jessie loved what he did so much that he didn’t retire until 81 years old. He was hardworking, loyal, and loved by many. Jessie was the type of man that would ask for nothing but would give everything. He will be deeply missed.
In his own time, he loved taking trips out to Las Vegas, and especially his annual trip to Arizona to watch the Chicago Cubs spring training season. In his later years, he found a special companion by his side “Puddy Cat”, a cat that Joyce found who needed love and care.
Jessie is survived by his children, Tammy (Dave) Person, Rex Beaman, and Barry Beaman; grandchildren, Eric Ridens (Rebecca), Jason Ridens, Nicole Nordmoe (Chad); great-grandchildren, Kendall Stecker, Kayden Ridens, and Sawyer Ridens; sister, Mary Diaz; best-friend, Teri; loyal friend, and now-owner of JRB Wade Martin – who the family would like to thank for his unwavering dedication throughout the years, and carrying on Jessie’s legacy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; parents, Jess and Oma; siblings, John (Helen) Beaman, Bill (Carol) Beaman, Dean Beaman, Ila Purkapile, Georgia (Bob) Crosser, and Rose Gibbs.
The family would like to personally thank and acknowledge the VA Clinics of Rockford and Madison, as well as Heartland Hospice for their love, care, and support.
