Jill Renae McBain, 68, of Roscoe, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, with her sons by her side. Jill was born to John and Elaine Weeks on January 23, 1958, in Rockford. She attended East High School.
Jill was quiet, and mild-mannered. She loved to read, especially thrillers and mysteries. With that, she absolutely loved Halloween and had an annual party each year that many friends and family members looked forward to. Above all else, she loved her sons and grandchildren deeply, and had a very special connection to her grandson, Jayden.
She is survived by her children, Joel (Georgia) McBain and Jordan McBain; grandchildren, Jayden McBain, Jett McBain, and Jagger McBain; special granddaughter, Luna; sisters, Jan Gwaltney, Julie (Cal) Callaway, and Jeana Lane; step-mother, Jean Weeks; step-siblings, Shannon (Greg) Johnson, and Todd (Tori) Kurth; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Ian McBain; parents, John Weeks and Elaine Akerlund; sons-in-law, Don Gwaltney and Steve Lane.
