John James Coole, age 77, of Loves Park, Illinois passed on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Born on September 13, 1948 to James and Anna (Jardine) Coole in Rockford, Illinois. John proudly served in the Army from 1968 to 1970 in Vietnam and spent time in Korea as a Maintenance Data Specialist. He enjoyed working outside, building a deck by himself and a trellis for his backyard. John liked woodworking and landscaping. He liked Ancient Aliens. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family and his cat, Gabby.
John is survived by his children, Curt Coole and Rebecca (Justin) Henderson; grandchildren, Heather Coole, Brandy Coole, Steven Henderson, Brendon Henderson, and Austin Henderson; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Henderson and Jade Henderson; sisters, Carol Anne (Richard) Newkirk and Jean Weeks; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Coole; grandson, Ryan James Coole; niece, Rhonda Eckhardt; and brother-in-law, Jack Weeks.
Private services will be held.
