

John E. (Jack) Denny, 77, passed away on Monday, Nov 29, 2010 after a 2 year illness. Son of Armenia (McHugh) and Dewey R. Denny. Jack was born on Christmas day, 1932, in Green Bay, WI where he lived prior to his move to Milwaukee where he worked for a short time. He later moved to Rockford, IL where he met his companion of 47 years. Jack became skilled in drafting design and horticulture resulting in designing their home and earning him awards for his landscape and horticulture from the neighborhood association. He was a life-long Green Bay Packer fan and an excellent cook and host during visits by relatives and friends. Jack was a very caring and giving person who kept in touch with those he loved by letters, cards or phone calls. Jack was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his long time companion Larry Wherley, who supported Jack through the many challenges and illnesses he faced; three sisters, Donna Doxtator, DePere, WI, Jean Denny, Jodi (Dennis) Marosezek; his brother, Tim (Genevieve) Denny; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
