Joseph Wojdyla

Joseph “Joe” Rudolph Wojdyla, 77, of Machesney Park, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 17, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. Son of Joseph and Sophia (Slomiany) Wojdyla. Veteran of the United States Marines. United in marriage to Patricia Genevieve Reiser on April 21, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Owner and operator of Graphic Express printing in Villa Park. Member of the VFW in Huntley where he was a Commander.

Joe found great enjoyment inspending time with his family, fishing, playing Scrabble and Yathzee, reading books to learn new languages, playing cards and having poker parties. Joe enjoyed Trish’s home cooking having Sunday dinners playing Uno and sneaking sweets. Along with Trish they traveled to Cancun in Mexico, Quebec in Canada, England, Scotland and other various places across the United States. Joe was a happy person who loved joking around.

Survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Trish; children, Kathy (Jeff) Landrum, Beth (Mike) Trimarco, Kim Roy, Debbie (Roy) Mapes, Dawn (Kevin) Mecko, Jill (Jim) Beckos, Adam (Georgia) Wojdyla; grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Fields, Mike Trimarco, Nick (Tracy) Davis, Justin (Tiffany) Davis, Ashley Beckos, Megan (Zach) Fewox, Haley Roy, Kyle Roy, Jessica Wojdyla, A.J. Wojdyla, Matthew Wojdyla; great-grandchildren, Mason Mills, Savannah Mills, Rebekah Davis, Paityn Davis, Bryson Fields, Kendall Davis, Vivienne Davis, Charlotte Fewox; siblings, Theodore (Sandy) Wojdyla, Susie Stock, Irene Cygan, Jim (Sharon) Wojdyla; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brothers-in-law, Bernie Stock and Rick Cygan.

Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5th at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation at 9 a.m. until time of service.
