Joyce L Conrad, 92, of Blakesburg, Iowa passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026. She was born May 4, 1934 in Rockford, Illinois to Glen and Mildred (Foss) Hunt. She married Gerald “Jerry” Conrad on April 28, 1953 in Arkansas and they spent 61 wonderful years together before he passed in 2014. She worked at Bob’s Shoe Store for over 25 years. Joyce enjoyed fishing and gardening. She liked to sew and cook for her family. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by her children, Glen “Skip” (Shelley) Conrad, Bradley “Scott” (Valorie) Conrad, and Caleb Conrad; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Conrad; parents; and siblings, Gary Hunt, Dolores “Lolly” Hunt, and Glen “Ronnie” Hunt.
Visitation for Joyce will be held on Monday, October 26 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115, followed by the funeral at 2:00 pm. Committal will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
