Jozef was born in Poland on June 3, 1933, the son of Adam and Aleksandra Lukaszewski. Jozef married Teresa D. Kadej on February 3, 1958. Jozef was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Rockford.
Jozef is survived by his wife Teresa; daughter Dorothy (Jeff) Altendorf; granddaughter Rachel Altendorf; brother Walter (Helena) Lukaszewski; sister Celina Kopcio; several nieces and nephews.
Jozef was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jadwiga Staniek and Gienia Trojak, brothers Boleslaw, Tadeusz, Marian and Frank Lukaszewski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A mass to celebrate Jozef’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 16, 2014 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church 201 Buckbee St. in Rockford. Visitation will be one hour before the mass at the church.
