Judy Ann Dentandt

Judy A. DenTandt, 81, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 6, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 1, 1945 in Rockford, the daughter of Earl and Margaret (Andersen) Swanson. Judy married Roger A. DenTandt on May 23, 1970 in Belvidere, IL. She was employed at Woodside Medical Group and other places as a receptionist. Judy was very creative and made handmade greeting cards for every occasion. In her younger years, she was active on a bowling league. Judy had a green thumb and loved gardening. She had a passion for nurturing any cat that crossed her path. Judy will be remembered as a kind, loving, generous and caring person who will truly be missed.

Judy is survived by her husband, Roger; children, Chad DenTandt and Tracy (Vince) Porter; and grandchildren, Zachary (Lily Henderson) Porter and Cadence Porter. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother and sister-in-law.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 3 p.m. Private family burial to take place.
