Judy C. Gray, 80, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Judy was born on August 8, 1946, in Rockford, to Donald and Avis Vaughan. Judy graduated from Harlem High School in 1964. In 1981, Judy married Roger Gray. Judy’s top priority in this life was always her children, who lovingly referred to her as “Mamacita” and “Mummy”. The children always came first, no matter what. She always had a special love for children and became a loving babysitter for many children throughout the years. This trained her for the ultimate promotion of being the best “Grandma Sweetie Pie”. She kept a beautiful house, and her cooking was a unique talent that passed down to generations. Judy also loved to knit, crochet, and play games on her iPad to relax.
Judy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Roger; children, Richie (Tammy) Fiedler, Shelly List, and Don (Heidi) Fiedler; grandchildren, David (Raven) Cooter, Michael Cooter, Tiffany Johnson, Kayla (Josh) Doolittle, Kaley (Nick) Wurm, Wesley (Fiancée, Erin) Colton, and Cierra (Kendall) Jamison; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry (Pat) Vaughan, Dickie (Anita) Vaughan; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Avis; stepdaughter, Janelle Gray.
