Judy A. Toepfer, 52, of Machesney Park passed away on August 1 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 28, 1960 in Rockford, she was the daughter of John W. and Janet M. (Connell) Phillips. On November 22, 1980 she married Wayne B. Toepfer in Rockford. A 1979 graduate of Harlem High School, Judy was employed as a Central Service Tech at OSF St. Anthony and Beloit Memorial Hospitals. She enjoyed singing, dancing, decorating, animals of all kind, and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Wayne B. Toepfer; children, Michael Bradley (Tiffany), Justin Ernest, Jamie Elizabeth, and Melissa Ann Toepfer; grandchildren, Anna and Elizabeth Toepfer; parents, John W. and Janet M. Phillips; brother, John Phillips; sisters, Debbie (Bill) Lewis and Linda (Larry) Jones. A special thanks to the Doctors at Beloit Memorial and the University of Wisconsin, Madison Hospitals. Funeral mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd., South Beloit with Father Steven Sabo officiating. Visitation, 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, August 5, at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at
