Julie A. Ferguson

Julie Ann Ferguson, age 79, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. She was born June 1, 1945 in Rockford, Illinois to Hank and Dagmar Lauts. She married the love of her life, Richard Ferguson, on November 25, 1970 in Rockford, Illinois and they spent 43 wonderful years together before he passed in 2014. She worked as an executive secretary for many years before her retirement.

Julie loved dogs, she and Dick had a few that were the light of their lives. She also enjoyed shopping, especially at Von Maur.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Justine (Christopher) Nelson and Heather (Paul Jones) Knutsen; step-grandchildren, Stacie Knutsen and Nathan Knutsen; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom and Carol Ferguson, Bonnie Wilson, Donna Ferguson, and Lynn Phillips; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ferguson; parents, Hank and Dagmar Lauts; in-laws, Carol and Raymond Ferguson; son, Baby Mark; grandson, Connor Nelson; brother, David Lauts; brother-in-law, Bill Ferguson; son-in-law, Paul Knutsen; niece, Dana Clements; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
