Kenneth Witt, 68, of Rockford, IL, passed away on July 30, 2022. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 31, 1953 to Thaddeus and Helen (Barron) Wojciechowski. Kenneth graduated from Harlem High School in 1971 and worked for over 30 years at Surface Manufacturing Company. He was an avid bowler and a huge Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Kenneth was a wonderful dad, brother, grandpa, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth (Cristina) Witt, Mark (Amber) Witt, and Helen (Brandon) Mays; his grandchildren, Brandon, Brenda, Benjamin, Gavin, Aaliyah, Lily, Faith, Isaac, Scarlette, Noah, and Josie; his siblings, Ted (RuthAnn) Witt, Helen (Greg) Tresemer, Sue (John) Jones, Cindy (John) Carlon, and Charlene Carlon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus and Helen and his granddaughter, Angel.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the Doctors and Nurses in the CCU unit at Swedish American Hospital for all of their compassion and care.
Funeral Service for Kenneth will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
