Larry Ray Tennant, Jr., 37, of Machesney Park passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2020. Larry was born in Rockford on June 10, 1982 the son of Larry Ray and Melissa (Turner) Tennant. Larry loved long walks, fishing and any type of water activity. He loved going to flea markets and collecting old tin lunchboxes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved being with his children. Larry is survived by his parents: Larry and Melissa Tennant; spouse Kimberly Tennant; children Jaykob Tennant, Madyson Tennant and Aubree Tennant; sister Spring (Marc) Mehlhop; nephew Kyle Mehlhop; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends. Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Due to the coronavirus, we are limiting 10 people in the visitation at a time. Please be respectful for these changes that are having to be made due to the Federal Government and CDC guidelines. Services to celebrate Larry's life will be at the funeral home. Visitation for Larry will be Wednesday March 18, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park; Cremation rites will be accorded after the funeral.
