Linda Kay Lahre

Linda K. Lahre, 74, of Machesney Park, IL, loving wife, mom and nana, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Thursday afternoon, December 2, 2021. She was born September 1, 1947 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Ronald Cullen and Viola Mathilda (Peterson) Smith. Linda was united in marriage to Carl “David” Lahre on December 20, 1969 in Belvidere, IL. Linda worked as a secretary/administrative secretary for North Love Ministries for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of North Love Baptist Church, where she coordinated multiple ladies’ seminars and lead various singing groups. In the school, Linda coordinated numerous fine arts and academic tournaments, in addition to teaching office practice. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is loved and will be missed by her children, Michelle (Gary) Linscheid and Kyle (Karla) Lahre; step-daughter, Debborah (Darryl) Joyner; grandchildren, Kendal (Brianna) Linscheid, Kassie Linscheid, Makinzie (Jay) Kors and Ethan Linscheid, Charlotte Joyner, Braeden, Brooklen, Britten and Brenden Lahre; sister-in-law, Louise Green as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Viola; her husband, Carl “David” Lahre, children, Cullen Lahre and Rachel Lahre; grandchild, Braylen Lahre; brother, Ronald “Buster” Smith and sister, Donna Leduc.

Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at North Love Baptist Church, 5301 E. Riverside Blvd, Rockford. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
