Lois enjoyed the blessing of her parents longevity, marriage to the love of her life, children, grand and great-grandchildren, along with lifelong friends, neighbors, and community.
Lois was a frequent traveler with a full passport, faith always by her side.
Strong woman is an understatement. Many fur babies (some hairless) accompanied through her “nine lives” with chronic illness.
Lois leaves behind a legacy of expert sewing, quilting, and monogramming.
She is survived by her son, Greg McLaughlin; daughters, Johnetta Benhoff and Stephanie McLaughlin-Wanjon; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and best friends, Jim and Liz Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James John McLaughlin; parents, Howard and Merlene Garrison; and grandson, Mason Benhoff.
While we will mourn her loss we will also celebrate her will to live through all of life’s blessings and adversities.
Thank you to OSF Healthcare and Hospice for the many years of care and kindness.
Live life like there is no tomorrow. Mama did. May your cup always runneth over with joy.
