

Louis “Lou” A Jardine Jr., 72, of Machesney Park, died from complications with Parkinson’s. Born September 13, 1948 in Rockford to Louis Sr. and Josephine Jardine both deceased. Graduated from East High School in 1966. Served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years and had the opportunity to fly a T33 Jet Fighter Plane. Employed as a Breakman for Milwaukee Road Railroad for 10 years, Amerock for 12 years and Woodward Governor Company “Company Process” for 13 years before retirement. Loved his Baby Girl Pudgy, the Chicago Bears, computer gaming, music, dancing and fishing.
Leaves behind his wife, Julie; sons, Louie III and Tony; brothers, Jeff and Mike; sister, Cathie Feigl; 3 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Julie wishes to express her sincere and heartfelt Thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice. Lou was so blessed to have this outstanding team of women taking care of him this past year. These women will remain my friend for life, Deanna, Katie, Cynthia, Madalyn, Michelle, Rebecca, Heather, Bindy, Kristen, Andrea, Lisa, Cassi, Stephanie and Robin.
Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6th at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Walk thru Visitation at 9 a.m. until time of service.
