Lynn Marie Schubert

Lynn loved people and animals, a caring and gentle soul, Lynn would pray for anyone in need.

Lynn was born in Chicago on May 14, 1947, the daughter of Robert and Arline Doell. Lynn attended Maine East High School in Park Ridge, IL. She married Danny Schubert, a Korean War Veteran in 1973. Lynn did volunteer work at church, a hospital and two retirement homes. She was a pet sitter and home sitter.

Lynn was preceded by her parents and husband Danny. Survivors include sister: Chris (Les) Nack of Huntley; brother Dave Doell of Rockford; nieces Elizabeth (Nick) Keener and Carrie Nack; nephew: Jon (Kate) Nack; great-nieces: Evelyn Keener and Emily Nack; great-nephews: Will and Tyler Nack, Samuel and Thomas Keener and Ethan Nack; cats Bella and Mittens.

Memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Mark Lutheran Church 675 N. Mulford in Rockford. At Lynn’s request, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project. The family is being assisted by Sunset Funeral Home.
