Margaret Emmerling, 88, of Rockford died Sunday November 13, 2010 at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford. She was born May 22, 1922 in Columbia, Tennessee to Gladstone and Bertha (Stewart) Pullen. She worked at Tennessee Knitting Mills during WWII. She married Edward Emmerling on June 20, 1942 in Tennessee. She is survived by grandchildren; Mike (Mellissa), Tom (Lisa), Aimee (John) Emmerling; great-grandchildren McKenzie and Merek Emmerling, Keaton, Karson, and Kage Shott, daughter-in-law Charla Emmerling; brother-in-law Raymond Ray, and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons Paul and Jerry; and three brothers. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm on Wed Nov 17th at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
