Margaret Cherie Hanson, 87, of Rockford, IL. joined her husband in heaven on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018. Margaret lived her entire life in Rockford. In 1956, she married Donald Hanson and spent 52 years together while raising their family. He preceded her in 2008. Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for Muntz Electric for over 45 years and was considered a valued employee. After retiring, Margaret could not remain idle and took on a part-time job at Bergners. Margaret was always up for a road trip; a trip to Wisconsin, day at the casino, or just a nice drive. Margaret was most content when surrounded by her family and her kittens, Cocoa, Anabelle and Isabelle. Born in Rockford, January 18, 1931, to Lawrence and Nellie (Heimbaugh) Fane.
Survivors: children, Linda (Roger) Carlson, Robert Hanson; grandchildren, Amy Carlson, Mark (Sara) Carlson, Randy Carlson; great- grandchildren, Bennett and Brooks Carlson, Avery Giles. Predeceased by husband, Donald.
