Margaret L. Rygh, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Montesano. "I was born March 22, 1915, at home in Rockford, Ill. My parents were Gust and Anna Carlson. I had a younger brother named Arthur, who was a career Army veteran. I married the love of my life, Olaf J. Rygh on June 12, 1937, in Chicago. This union produced two children; a son, James (Judy) of Elma, and daughter, Joanne (Duane) Ohlen. I have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. I was a member of Easter Star 590, member of North Park Fire Ladies, Ken Rock Garden Club and Mother's March on Polio. After my husband retired from Sundstrand, we moved to Clearwater, Fla., for 25 years. Due to my husbands health, we moved back to Rockford, to a apartment owned by my daughter. In January 2006, my husband and I flew to Sea Tac airport with the help of my daughter-in-law, while my son drove a moving van to Washington with our belongings. We then moved into a retirement home called The Beehive. I also leave behind special friends, Lorraine Johnson, Phyllis Webb, Linda Fraser, Dorothy Quigley and Ron Criel. I direct that I be buried beside by husband of almost 70 years and that I do not have a service upon my death."
