

Marilyn G. Klotz, 87, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2025 at Anam Glen. She was born September 7, 1937 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of John and Sigrid Johnson. Marilyn married Henry J. “Hank” Klotz on February 18, 1956 in Rockford. She received her Associate’s degree in Nursing in 1975 from Rock Valley College and went on to work at Rockford Memorial Hospital in the Maternity Ward for many years. Marilyn was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in Rockford. Her hobbies and interests include: golfing, fishing, playing cards, crocheting, spending time with her best friend Fran Prezioso, traveling and spending time in Florida or at her lake house.
She is loved and missed by her four sons, Steve (Kathy) of Utica, Mn, Mike (Sandy) of Winnebago, Jay (Jenn Benson) of Lake Geneva, WI, and Jon (Jaime) of Rochester, Mn., grandchildren, Matthew (Jenn), Mitchell, Mikala (Rick Olson) all in Minnesota, Ryan, Kyle, Kelly, Lauren and eight great-grandchildren. Also her older brother Gerald (Marilyn) Johnson of Loves Park, her sister-in-law Sandy Johanson of Louisville KY, her brothers-in-law John “Hans” (Cathy) Schafman and Steve Steinmetz all in Rockton, and Kenny (Kathleen) Schafman of Machesney Park, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hank, oldest brother John Johnson, her younger brother Denny Johanson, and her sister-in-law Kayann Steinmetz.
