Marjorie was born in Rockford on April 25, 1926, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Carter) Hornbeck. She married Maynard Kling on June 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1986. Marjorie worked for Warner-Lambert and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved to play Bingo, sometimes 7 days a week.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter: Kathy (Dennis) Diamond; son Robert Kling; two grandsons David and Dustin Diamond; great-granddaughter Dayna Diamond.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Dennis Diamond, Jr., brothers Kenneth, Charles, Edgar and Jim; sister Katherine Yates.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
A service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be 2:00 pm Saturday May 7, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
