Mary was raised in Galesburg, IL. She attended nursing school at Swedish American in Rockford.
Mary met the love of her life, Clell Brinkley, while attending Central Christian Church of Rockford. Their relationship was built on a strong Christian foundation.
She is preceded by her husband, Clell Brinkley; children, Michelle, and Michael Brinkley.
