Mary Lou Klock, 90, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord, Sunday March 26, 2023. She was born July 10, 1932 in Ashland, WI, the daughter of Arthur and Olga (Keran) Larson. Mary Lou married Paul Klock on April 26, 1953. She worked for Dr. Norm Hagman and Rockford Orthopedics for 31 years. Mary Lou attended the Samuelson Road Church of the Nazarene and Creekwood Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mary Lou was proud to be the first chair clarinet in high school. In her early years, Mary Lou enjoyed the family vacations to the cabin up north. She also enjoyed times out for lunch and visiting with her friends, and times together with her family celebrating birthdays, Christmas, and grandparents day at Christian Life Schools. She was a faithful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Mark Klock, Gary Klock, Suzanne Klock, Kevin Klock and Michael (Wendy) Klock; grandchildren, Danielle (Kyle) Schilling, Karly Klock and Kendra Klock; great-grandson, Judson Schilling; brother, Wayne Larson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul and brother Gary Larson.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
