MARY ALICE PEACOCK, 84 ROCKFORD - Mary Alice Peacock, 84, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012. Born Nov. 13, 1927, in Lincoln, Neb., to Noel and Pearl (Olson) Johnson. She worked in the healthcare field for many years as an accomplished CNA. Married Charles Wesley "Wes" Peacock on Sept. 4, 1948. Mary loved family functions and enjoyed being with her grandchildren at every opportunity. Survived by many brothers and sisters, Lois, Bob( CJ), Marge, Phyllis, Janice (Steve), Stan (Marilyn), Dorothy and Tom; sisters-in-law, Bev and Ramona; sons, Charles and Michael (Anna); daughter, Carol (Andrew) O'Connell; grandchildren, Christy (Carl), Rebecca, Stephanie, Kara, Mac Lain; great-grandchildren, Carys, Cade; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; husband, Wes; sister, Ardis; brother, Mike; nephews, Steve, and Kelly; and nieces, Debbie, Penny and Marcy. Service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with Abby Mohaupt officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
