

Mary Katherine Ulrich-Wikoff, 63, of Rockford, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer. Born December 1, 1952 in Rockford, IL. Daughter of Charles and Marilyn (Buresch) Brush. 1973 Graduate of East High School. In her younger years she modeled and was even a front runner up with Miss America Judy Ford in 1969. She married Jodey Ulrich in 1975 and together they raised three children. She was a “Big City Girl who moved to the County”. Living on the farm she loved to cook and bake. Every Christmas she would make quiches and bake peanut butter blossom cookies. After her marriage ended in 1999 she met Ernie Wikoff and together they shared 12 years until his passing. They lived in Colorado together and enjoyed the mountains. They loved to go gambling together. She loved to play cards and computer games. Back in Illinois she enjoyed going to the outside music performances at the Sinnissippi Music Shell. Going to Edwards Apple Orchard was a favorite fall time pastime for the apple butter. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include mother, Marilyn; children, Brandon (Kelley) Ulrich, Megan (Joe Krupski) Bontjes, Ryan Ulrich; grandchildren, Hannah, Chloe, Waylon, Kent, Heidi, Oliva and Shane. Predeceased by her father.
