Mary E Whittemore

Born May 10, 1924 in Rockford, Il to Joe and Myrtle (Roop) White. She attended Rockford Central High School, and later went on to marry Loren Whittemore, on July 2, 1949.

Mary was an avid golfer and bowler. She was inducted into the Janesville Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She planned several events for the Youth Bowlers of Janesville, and also coordinated many themed family reunions. She was a member of the fifty and over group in Janesville, and she loved taking her trips to Hawaii and Europe.

Mary leaves to cherish her loving memory, sisters, Anna Lake, Loretta Benson, and Marge Sherwood; sister-in-law, Marge White; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Viola and Maude, and brothers, Art, Ronald, Joe, and Leonard.

Funeral Service 10a.m. Thursday, March 28, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation from 9a.m. till the time of service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
