Maurice “Moe” M. Bolte Jr., 77, of Rockford, passed away at Riverbluff Nursing Home on Friday, August 9, 2024. Moe was born January 31, 1947, to Maurice Sr. and Sarah (Gagliano) Bolte in Rockford. He attended West High School, graduating class of 1966. Moe was employed by Rockford Public Schools for numerous years before retiring. Moe was a lifelong member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. In his free time, he took a special interest in Ham Radio (his call sign being N9CCE), amongst other things such as golfing, trapshooting, bowling, and even storm chasing. Moe loved going to Johnny Pamcakes to be with his “Coffee Club”, once or even twice a day. Moe was a loyal Chicago Bears fan throughout his entire life. Above all else, Moe’s family was very important to him. He devoted his later years to caring for his mother and father.
Moe is survived by his nieces and nephews, Andrea (Richard) Nickels, Paul (Kara) Bolte, Josh (Heather) Bolte, Sarah (Eric) Anderson, Meghan Bolte, Robert (Cori) Bolte Jr.; great-nieces and nephews, Breanna Nickels, Jacob Nickels, Alexandria Anderson, Jack Bolte, Callie Bolte, Adalyn Bolte; sisters-in-law, Robin Bolte and Linda Bolte.
His parents, as well as his brothers, Robert Bolte Sr. and Richard Bolte, preceded him in death.
