Maxine Jacobs

She was born on June 18, 1930, at home in Xenia IL, the daughter of Richard and Nettie O’Brien. She married the love of her life, Gerald Jacobs Sr, on September 3, 1949.

Maxine reflected God with her servant heart and gift of hospitality in every aspect of her life. Serving faithfully at her church, working diligently in her factory jobs and serving home-cooked meals every Sunday after church for her family to enjoy just being together.

Survivors include all of her children:

John “Jack” Jacobs, Lisbon IA; Theresa Olson, Louisville, IL; Gerald “Jerry” (Charmel) Jacobs Jr, Rockton IL; Shelley (Ralph) Farmer, Knoxville TN; Cynthia (Steve) Nelson, Rockford IL.

Sister, Chelsea (Bill) Casolari, Flora IL, Sister-in-law, Catherine O’Brien, Lake Havasu City, AZ

Brothers, Charles “Bill” (Valerie) O’Brien, Rockford; Roy (Dorothy) O’Brien, Rockford

26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; innumerable nieces and nephews!

Maxine was predeceased by her parents and husband; her brothers, Richard, Raymond, Edward and Joseph O’Brien; her sister, Lorene (O’Brien) Fatheree; sons-in-law, Bruce Schaeffer & Don Olson; daughters-in-law, Star Jacobs and Gody Jacobs; newborn great-great-grandson, Jaylen Spates.

Maxine’s presence is already missed so much. Yet we rejoice knowing that she has met her loving God face to face!
