Michael G. Kott of Roscoe, IL passed away unexpectedly March 16, 2019. Mike was born February 12, 1947 and was raised by his loving parents, Betty and Bob Kott. He graduated from West DePere High school in Wisconsin in 1966. That same year, Mike married the love of his life, Jan, August 27, 1966. They had two beautiful children together, Michael Jay and Kim Marie. Mike spent his life engaged in doing what he loved; he enjoyed all sports from softball to racquetball & even water skiing. He taught his grandchildren how to fish and spent their time making memories at Rock Cut State Park and Pearl Lake. Mike was the kind of man who was friends with everyone, and talked to anyone. When Mike and Jan moved to Florida, they spent 14 years loving the sunshine, beach and palm trees. Every morning Mike and Jan would have coffee and played cards, and it was always a tough competition between the two of them. He is loved and will be missed by so many!
Mike is survived by his loving wife; Jan, his son- Michael (Bebejean) with Alysse and Clay; his daughter- Kimmie with Evan and Owen; as well as many siblings and in-laws from all over the country. He is also survived by the many friends he loved as family.
A visitation for Mike will be held Friday, March 22nd from 4pm to 6pm with memorial service to follow at 6pm.
In lieu of flowers the memorials may be made to the family in their mission to dedicate a fishing bench memorial at Rock Cut in his honor.
