Michael Wells

Michael Wells, 78, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday March 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 29, 1944 in Eureka, CA, the son of James and Doris (Burd) Wells. He married Stacy Picavet on November 15, 1977 in Dixon, IL. Michael was a business owner and a sales man. Michael loved spending time with his family, especially at Christmas. He also enjoyed spending time at the car lot with special friends. Michael was a loving, giving man to all and will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Stacy; children, Michael Wells, Tommy Wells, Kristina (Matt) Rediger and David Wells; grandchildren, Evan, Thomas, Kayla, Zachary, Natalie, Anna, Seth, Sophia and Dexter; siblings, Pamela Northrup and David “Pat” Wells; so many special nieces and nephews, especially Sarah and Steve; sister-in-laws, Shelby (Tony) Albano, Shirl Olson, and Mary Ann Wells; mother to his two oldest children, Shirley Clark. He was preceded in death by his father, James and his wonderful mother, Doris, his brother, James Wells, mother and father-in-law, Grace and Bernard Picavet, brother-in-laws, Steven Picavet, Carl Northrup and Jake Tropp.
