Michael L. "Pollock" Witkowski, 70, of Kirkland, IL, passed away, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 18, 1955 in Elmwood Park, IL, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Whitsura) Witkowski. He graduated from Elgin High School. He worked as a diesel mechanic and went on to work as a Teamster truck driver. He was proud to be a member of the Teamsters Union. Mike was a member of the Belvidere American Legion, where he enjoyed a cold beer and spending time with friends. He loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Most of all, he adored spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Michael is loved and missed by his son, Michael J. (Brittany) Witkowski; grandsons, Luke and Logan Witkowski; brothers Ray Witkowski and John (Karen) Witkowski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ken.
A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
