Nancy Joyce Collins, 87, of Caledonia, IL, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, January 10, 2025 at Javon Bea Hospital. She was born May 11, 1937 in Harvard, IL, the daughter of Lee and Martha (Kever) Elliott. Nancy married William L. Collins on April 24, 1954 in Belvidere, IL, he preceded her in death in 1994. She was employed as an inspector at Camcar until retirement. Nancy was a former member of the Belvidere Moose Lodge. She enjoyed bowling and participated on a league in her younger years. Nancy loved going camping and going to bonfires. She liked watching the horses at the fair and watching the Ski Broncs. Nancy enjoyed traveling, going on bus tours and cruises. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, Nancy adored her family.
Nancy is loved and missed by her children, Timothy Collins and Troy (Cheryl Yoshihara) Collins; granddaughter, Kelly (Jacob) Kozikowski; great-grandchildren, Elyse and Korey Kozikowski; sister, Marilyn (Ken) Tinsley; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, daughter Tina Eldora Guenterberg, and several siblings.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boone County Animal Services or Boone County Food Pantry.
Nancy will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115-2277.
