Nancy Ramstedt, 74, of Rockford passed away Sunday February 14, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born December 4, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Herbert and Iris (Barnett) Jahn. She married Dr. Ron Ramstedt on April 6, 1956, they later divorced. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, cross-stitching and crocheting. Survivors include her daughter Kris Barr (Dave Jr.) of Rockford, sons Steve Ramstedt (Sheryl Struse) of Machesney Park and Greg Ramstedt of Payson, AR; four grandchildren: Kristina Ramstedt of Louisville, TX, Melissa Ramstedt of Syracuse, NY, Melanie Lapour and Samantha Lapour both of Rockford, IL; two great grandchildren Timothy Strahorn and Dominic Scuderi; one brother Bill Jahn (Mary) of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
