She married the love of her life William D. Moore on October 5, 1951. During their 63 years together they raised their children in a Christian home. Together they enjoyed antiquing, going to flea markets, and estate sales. Nova’s love for reading went well with her career as a Librarian at Christian Life School. When she was younger she enjoyed playing piano. She shared her gift by playing piano for her church. Two of her favorite past times were watching the Cubs while sitting in her family room watching the birds as they fed at her feeders.
Nova is survived by her children, William “Bill” (Jo Ann) Moore and Sheryl “Sheri” (Marc) Romine.
Grandchildren Mindi (Brant) Morris, Kristi (Jairo) Robertts, Lindsi (Paul) Lightner, Britni Moore, Meghan (Joe) Landi, Jenna (John) Kiernan and Sara Romine and Derek Romine; 13 great-grandchildren and sisters, Sue (Robert) Sparks, Joann Ferguson.
She is preceded in death by her husband William “W.D.” Moore; her parents Hugh and Winnie Still; sisters
Marie Galloway and Linda Chambless.
A private family service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115-2277.
