Patricia A. Norton

Patricia A. "Patty" Norton, age 85, of Sycamore, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Patricia was born in Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of Vernon and Vesta (Osier) Cooper. Patricia married the love of her life, Truman Norton, on July 7, 1956. She was employed at Barber Colman for over 20 years. Patty adored any and all animals. She was a loving caregiver to everyone she came in contact with and always put others above herself. Patty was an adored wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Patty is survived by three sisters, Kathy Swafford, Jeanette Corrigan and Cynthia Snow; brother, Lorell Cooper; daughter, Debra (Butch) Deas; grandchildren, Laura Moyer, Jason Norton, Amanda Keiper; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Truman, daughter Linda (Steve) March, brothers Byron and Michael Cooper and infant sister Beronica.

A special thank you to Patty's sisters, Cynthia, Kathy, Jeanette for their loving and compassionate care and to Joe Ward for accompanying Patty to her doctor appointments.

A graveside service for Patricia will be held Monday, June 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
