Patricia C Welliver

Patricia C. Welliver, 76, of Naples Florida, formerly of Rockford, passed away September 30, 2021. She was born on June 12, 1945, in Mayland, Tennessee to Mary Frances and Clay Lee Kilgore. On April 20, 1962 she married the love of her life, Barry Welliver, and together they shared 3 children and 59 years in marriage. Patricia enjoyed gardening, her yard was always filled with her favorite flowers. She took great pride in creating a beautiful environment for her loved ones to enjoy. Christmas time for Patricia was particularly special, and she would decorate, wrap presents, and enjoy baked goods with her grandchildren. She also loved and adored Elvis Presley and his music. Patricia retired from J.L. Clark in Rockford. She also enjoyed traveling, especially her time spent in the Blue Ridge Mountains, going to the Everglades, as well a world cruise. She was a deeply loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by many.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Barry Welliver; children, Melissa (Dennis Johnson) Baxter, Michelle Ritschel; grandsons, Joshua (David Lopez) Baxter, Jonathan (Amy Hernandez Ritschel) Ritschel, granddaughters, Caitlin (Kieran) Brown, Sadie Baxter, Jaclyn Ritschel; great-granddaughters, Leah Ritschel, Anya Brown; brother, Ronald (Sue) Byers; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Jim) Johnson, Debi Welliver, Dianne Wright; aunt, Millie Casperson; special friend, Paul “Butch” Welliver, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends whom she loved dearly.

She is predeceased by her parents, Clay Lee Kilgore and Mary Frances Byers; son, Todd Welliver, stepfather, William A.V. Byers; siblings, Richard Kilgore, Jerry Byers, and Brenda Krychowecky; and great-grandson, Jordan Riley.

A visitation for Patricia will begin at 9am ending promptly at 10am, Saturday, October 9, at Sunset Funeral Home. Located at 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
