He served in the U.S.Army during World War II and worked for many years at Barber Coleman as an electrician.
Paul was an avid sports fan but he was especially passionate about the Chicago Cubs. He also loved pinochle, traveling, playing pool and bowling.
He is survived by his fiancé, Vacle Hayford and dear friends; Sandra Kaltenbach, Susan Hayford, Arthur Hayford, Carl (Penny) Hayford, Joshua Hayford, Aaron Hayford and Cindy Whitehead.
Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Pastor Doug Carroll will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
