Penny G. Laesch, 66, of Rockford passed away on May 26, 2013 at Swedish American Hospital. Born on February 13, 1947 in Rockford, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Margaret (Knott) Bressler.
An avid reader, Penny loved caring for the little ones and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Erick (Rachel) Laesch and Stacey (Nathan Smith) Siebert; grandchildren, Ellie Laesch, Cora, and Mason Siebert; brother, Stanley (Vicki) Bressler; nephews, Tye and Ryan Bressler; mother in law, Jeanne Laesch; and many relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents.
The family wishes to give special thanks to her cousin, Steven Bean, for his care and support.
Funeral service, 2 p.m., Monday, June 3, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park with Father Kenneth Stachyra officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to time of service.
