Phyliss Jean Gecan, 91, of Mt Morris passed away peacefully in the care of the amazing staff of Pinecrest Community in Mt. Morris, IL. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Born on May 30, 1926 daughter of Dudley and Florence Allen. Spent early years attending school at Mt. Morris, IL and raising her family in Oregon, IL. She had a long career at the Greater Rockford Airport Authority followed by a wonderful 20 year plus retirement in Mesa, Arizona.
Survived by her two sons, Michael and Richard (Vicky) Gecan, blessed with 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Dudley and Florence Allen and her beloved sisters, Betty (Dick) McNett and Evio (Ray) Braning.
Private Service to be held on Monday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
