I hired Pat to work at Harlem High serving the students their breakfast and lunches. She was a hard and dedicated worker. I was one of those folks that received a knitted dishcloth because she insisted they were the best! I heard lots of stories of Pete and their adventures together. 71 years together is amazing. She was a lady with lots of energy and heart. She will be missed and remembered. My condolences to all the family.

Tom and I are members of St. Rita Church Homebound ministry. We visitedPat and Pete for many years. We always looked forward to visiting their room. We were so sad to learn of Pat's death. She was always so friendly and appreciative of our visits. We couldn't believe she was in her 90's! Pat and Pete sat at their table, newspaper and coffee in hand, when we came to the door. They were always so happy to receive communion. We loved how faithful Pat was. She always had such a positive attitude. She shared with us how she was selected to be an ambassador for Cherry Valley Place and also started a Rosary group there. We learned of Pete's WWII service and were honored to minister to him.
We will miss visiting with Pat. She was one of our favorites!
